My dysfunctional economy lesson

Is it just me or i think my job fascinates me in ways i just could not explain.

The day started with an Economy cum Law class on the above subject matter. Being in this place, I cant help but to think 'capitalisticaly'. Here's why :

1) If demand is big, market should be competitive to destroy monopoly. Increasing competition will provide consumers with options and thus allowing competitors to step up their game and lowering the cost.
Translation : Do flirt around....thus you can decide which 'dude' has the value for money factor.

2) Monopolistic firm cant raise it's price if there is substitue for the goods.
Translation : Jgn nak perasan. there's always someone else doing at par if not better than you.

3) Discriminatory abuse : Different treatments for same service segregated by market segmentation.
Translation : Good looking people receive better benefit.

4) Predatory abuse : Deliberately setting the price below cost to drive the exit of it's rival.
Translation : Lowering down your values and beliefs to fit to other people's expectation.

Boleh x fikir camni? miahahaha...guess this has been a very fickle minded day. Nonetheless, unless somebody put a gun to your head, you "Aut disce aut discede " ( Either learn or leave ). Cheers~
